It’s a New Moon on Monday  June 3rd 2019 so I get to use this song! 🙂

New Moon on Monday was a hit song for the English New Wave Band Duran Duran in 1984 reaching the Top 10 in the UK and US charts. It was their tenth single and was released on their third album “Seven and the Ragged Tiger”.

The video was set in the village of Noyers in France and was filmed as a kind of mini story where the band members are part of an underground resistance movement called “La Luna” rebelling against a modern oppressive militaristic regime. The female starring in the video was a former “Miss France” from 1980 called Patricia Barzyk. Several variations of the video exist. Longer Version of the video at the bottom of this post. There is a full 17 mini story version of the video but I can’t locate it on the internet.
