Tonight’s viewing is “Stranger Things” Season 3. Now screening on NETFLIX. Teens in a small town, retro clothing and eighties music mixed with Sci-Fi and 1980’s screen star, Winona Ryder as a central character.

Set in the 1980’s , Stranger Things is an American Horror / Science Fiction Drama set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana. A nearby laboratory conducts research for the USA Department of Energy but secretly also conducts research into the supernatural and paranormal accidentally creating a portal to an alternate dimension. Entities from this dimension torment a character called Will who is abducted and then repeatedly experiences visions and flashbacks.

Some of the laboratory’s research involves human test subjects and one of these, a girl with psychokinetic abilities called “Eleven” escapes and forms friendships with the local children while at the same time trying to stay under the radar of the authorities and expose what is going on. The Police of chief takes her under his wing as the plot unfolds.

I’ve already watched Seasons 1 and 2 and there’s a good healthy dose of Eighties Music in the first episode of Season 3. 🙂
