Night Owl Gerry Rafferty
I am Nocturnal
So I am a Chronic Insomniac hence no Sunshine Bloggers Awards. Hee hee. Basically The Night is My Day. I feel active, creative and restless at night and can have my deepest sleep from around 6am – 2pm if I was living in my true rhythmn. Before Noon I am not alive.
I have tried to change this pattern but I can’t. I hate mornings! I love Sunsets and I love Moonlight. I love Lakes at night and drives at night. To be confined in 4 walls at night also feels kind of a bit oppressive. I must be a wild one. I definitely think humans should be a LOT closer to Nature.
My best evening would be out in a forest, sitting on the beach by the sea or lying in a hammock under trees by a lake watching the moonlight glisten on the water. Or swimming or hiking or cycling at night or camping. I want to meet free moving Nature Night Spirits yet we are in a World of Day time conformity and grid systems enforced on us. But you can Dream. Of living off Grid. While everyone moves towards success and materialism all I really want is simplicity. I am wild at heart constrained within the realms of modern society.
Technology is everywhere now so I do think it will be virtually impossible to escape all these electro magnetic frequencies that interfere with our circadian rhythms as well as artificial street lights and noise pollution. My goal in life is to not live in a city which seems simple but its not. Hmmmmm.
Are you a Night Owl? Do you like Nature? I think the allure of nature at night too is the fact that it is so deserted. And nocturnal creatures come out. It’s just more mysterious and magical. Or off beat old parts of cities or graveyards or ancient castles or cathedrals. I was never one of those kids that would go happily to bed. I hated that. The Nights are for ADVENTURE!
