Practical Magic Prequel
If you were a fan of the 1990’s movie “Practical Magic” starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, you will be delighted to hear that a Prequel is on the cards! HBO are creating a TV series that will be set in the 1960’s in New York and is based on the book, “The Rules of Magic”, by Alice Hoffman.
It will centre around the 2 Aunts from the original movie who discover they are part of an ancient bloodline of witches. It was Hoffman’s book “Practical Magic” that the 1998 movie Practical Magic was based on.
HBO have announced it will consist of 1 hour long episodes and will be viewable on the HBO streaming service which will launch in 2020. So a bit of a wait! In the meantime you could always read the book.
Or rewatch the movie…

It was a beautiful film. Despite being bizarrely panned by critics at the time it is now a Cult Classic. I have never met anyone who doesn’t love that movie. 🙂
