Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

So one of my all time favourite movies as a child at Christmas or Easter was “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory” starring Gene Wilder. It was actually called “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and was released in 1971, before I was born, and constantly shown on TV to the point it’s a film most people will have seen or know about.

It was also a really great book to read as a child. Roald Dahl published “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” in 1964 and kids everywhere gobbled it up. What’s not to love about little Charlie Bucket against the odds winning a “Golden Ticket” to enter an incredible Chocolate Factory and meet the eccentric Mr Wonka. The remake of the 1971 movie in 2005 with Johnny Depp was good too but the original will always be my favourite.

It’s one of those movies you might get out at Christmas or see on TV. It certainly had it’s own scary, creepy elements. But the Trailer above shows Charlie and the Chocolate Factory recut as it if was a HORROR type movie! Aaaargh!
