Time Travel

So I recently wrote an article touching on the concept of TIME TRAVEL. Two of my favourite movies about Time Travel were “Back to the Future” and “Somewhere in Time”. It made me get thinking about TV Shows about Time Travel. And one of my favourites was “Quantum Leap”.

Quantum Leap

Quantum Leap was an American Time Travel Science-Fiction Television series that ran from 1989 until 1993. I love the introduction and the theme tune and the main character Dr Sam Beckett played by the actor Scott Bakula. He is a Physicist who is part of an experiment in travelling through time with the purpose of correcting historical mistakes made by other people.

Heroes

Heroes was another show I loved. It featured time travel as an element as well as people that had super powers. There was a guy that could travel in time and another guy that could paint the future. It was an American Science Fiction Series and Psychological Thriller that ran from 2006 until 2010. It features characters that are every day people who discover they have Super Human abilities. Eventually they work together to prevent catastrophic events from happening in the future.

Being Erica

“Being Erica” is a Canadian television show about Time Travel, a Comedy Drama that ran from 2009 until 2011. Actress Erin Karpluk plays the role of Erica Strange. Erica Strange is a young woman who is intelligent, well educated and attractive yet an under achiever who is very unlucky in both love and career. After accidentally drinking a Hazelnut drink to which she is allergic she wakes up in hospital and meets Doctor Tom, a Therapist. He offers to help her fix everything that is going wrong in her life. She finds out that part of his process is sending her back in time to relive and possibly change her greatest regrets which is not a simple process and has it’s own set of complications.
