Christmas Eve Wishes… Stumbled upon a Beautiful Empty Church last Christmas Eve in Andorra in the Pyrenees…

I travelled to France and then on a bus through the Pyrenees to Andorra last Christmas to try Skiing for the first time. Andorra is located between France and Spain. On Christmas Eve I got a bus to Andorra la Vella and wandered in the old town and stumbled upon this beautiful little church. So I had to take a look inside…

Church Christmas Eve Andorra

It was absolutely deserted and tranquil and peaceful. It had immaculate music playing. I would have stayed longer only I knew I had to figure out a bus back to the Ski Hotel. It was beautiful inside.

I absolutely love going into quiet little churches on my travels. When you travel you encounter different cultures, religions and spiritual paths. Each with their own fascination and allure.

I am not one for Sunday mass with crowds in modern places. Maybe one day I will settle in a place that has a community that calls to me. But I do love the serenity of being alone in exquisite, holy places with a sacred vibe. There was an ornate golden altar and a statue of a Madonna and child.

As it was the Christmas Season there was a Nativity Scene, with lovely sparkles around it. It was just lovely to wander into this lovely church with nobody about and that beautiful music playing. Christmas Eve is a wonderful night.

PS: I have not got the best mobile phone so my videos are a bit amateurish but I still think they are worth sharing so other people can sense the wonderful ambience that I did when I was there. Note how the red hood sparkles in the video. Very special.

Have a beautiful Christmas Eve wherever you find yourself this year. πŸ™‚
