The Mellow Mushroom
So The MELLOW MUSHROOM is my favourite Pizzeria in the Universe. It is an American Pizza Chain that originated in Atlanta, Georgia. It is just so cool. The food is amazing, there is lot of great veggie options and I just love the friendly vibe. The decor and artwork on the walls are always super cool and amazing. Kinda Cosmic. Mellow Mushroom Asheville
The last time I went to The Mellow Mushroom it was when I was visiting Asheville in North Carolina, USA. I love visiting that area, There is a really arty, hippy, musical, veggie vibe there. I also went to The Mellow Mushroom in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mellow Food Philosophy
The Mellow Food Philosophy is as follows… “Mellow is a State of mind, a culture, a way of being. Our mission is to provide delicious food in a fun and creative environment. We are the originators of hand tossed, stone baked classic southern pizza. Our spring water crust is unique and flavorful, and all our pies are made with high quality, fresh ingredients. Our philosophy is to elevate the dining experience with a higher order of pizza. Mellow out.”
Mellow Mushroom Memorabilia
As well as serving food they also sell Mellow Mushroom Memorabilia and they also have an online store called The YELLOW Room. So if you are a big Mushroom fan you are gonna LOVE it. Ha. 🙂
A Good Feed
Most importantly Mellow Mushroom serves a damn fine pizza and also makes salads exciting. 🙂

I was reminded of my favourite Pizzeria when a friend from the USA whatsapped me a photo that he was having a Pizza at the Mellow Mushroom in Asheville today, 🙂

I’ve never heard of them. However I’m from Chicago and no pizza compares to ours. Sorry we have pizza places that are fantastic, that actually hand toss and back in brick ovens yum. I miss my hometown and the wide range ethnic food choices and vegan.

WOW. Have to say I have never been to Chicago. So far in my life this is my favourite Pizzeria. But still got a lot of the world to see… 🙂 It sounds like Chicago is a great place for pizzas then….

Mellow Mushroom is a great pizza joint. I’d never heard of it until 7 or 8 years ago. On a flight from Asia I was sitting next to a man who said he was one of the founders. (His name is on the tip of tongue but escapes me.) He is probably very wealthy but we were in coach. He gave me a $25 certificate that I used for my first taste of Mellow Mushroom. 🙂

We have been to Mellow Mushroom in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was a great experience all around. I don’t think there are any near us in Philadelphia…

Yeah theres a great vibe in those restaurants. 🍄 I think they are only in certain parts of the USA like Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia etc. 🍄
