Well I’d a lovely pumpkin I got in my organic veg delivery and I’m gonna make some hearty wholesome veggie soup with it. But first I decided to whizz up a pumpkin smoothie for breakfast / brunch. 🎃🎃🎃
Pumkin Smoothie / Pumpkin Shake
I’m not generally a recipe follower I tend to go with what I’m in the mood for and what I’ve got. So I improvised. And you can too of course.
The basics were…
Fresh pumpkin flesh with seeds
Golden Flax seeds
Plant based milk
Half a banana
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Splash of vanilla essence
Lets Shake this up Baby!!!
Do you like my fridge magnets? I do. 🙂 Let’s get this shaken up and work a little Halloween kitchen MAGIC. All you do is add the ingredients to a Nutri Bullet or Blender and start it up.
All you really need for this is fresh pumpkin and a plant based milk. Then just add a mixture of nuts and seeds, handful of oats, spoonful of peanut butter and some cinnamon. I added nutmeg too and a bit of cayenne pepper. Add more Maple Syrup if you like it sweeter. You don’t need all the ingredients on this list. Also you could use canned Pumpkin if you don’t have fresh.
Pumpkin Seeds are good for you – Eat them
I added the Pumpkin Seeds in too as they are super good for you. (PS… Guys take heed… And eat this seed…. It’s especially super good for men.) I also threw in a few frozen raspberries. Cause I love them. I’d love to see more Raspberry flavoured things in the world. Strawberries seem to have the monopoly there….
And Viola! Behold a creamy Pumpkin Shake that will make you want to Twist and Shout. The Scooby Dooby Doo crew would be jealous… Smoothies can be Fun. Oh Yeah.
