Born to be ALIVE! – 1979 World Disco Finals and DISCO GIRL ART

Disco is FUN

Well. WOW. I mean this video just lights you up. Makes you smile. The Seventies were such a Great Era. Bursting with music, colour and creativity. I Love DISCO. I Love Dance. I Love Music. Music adds the je ne sais quoi to existence. It’s like a life blood.

This video is full of colour, creativity, costumes, creative expression and funky dance moves. Such energy and exuberance and passion and lust for life. Whatever gives you that – Follow it. Don’t waste your life. Whether it’s dance, music, art, travel, go for it! I love the individualism and self expression in this video.

This video from DISCO REVIEW of the 1979 WORLD DISCO FINALS posted in November 2009 already has over 57 million views. WOW! Just goes to show you that the world is crying out for stuff like this. The music is “Born to Be Alive” by Patrick Hernandez.

This is a Disco Girl I drew. I’ve different versions of this, this is four of them.

Here’s a FUN question for you. If you were to debut at a DISCO DANCING Championship what would you wear? You can be any age so you can wear what you like! πŸ™‚

I would wear silver boots and shorts and a halter neck top with light purple hair with a fringe. (Bangs) Kinda Futuristic Space Sci-Fi. OR I would wear a white or creme flowy tassly type skirt with a fringe top and golden brown type highlighted hair.

Have a Fun Weekend. πŸ™‚

  1. Ha… yeah I love to dance
    Love disco songs & energy
You always find fun things for us !!

I love being naked.. so I would wear a short black tight mini skirt with a matching top & white fringed boots
With very short bob with bangs and heavy eye makeup haha

  2. great drawings. that was fun to watch; reminded me of Saturday Night Fever, one of my favorite movies. But while I might enjoy watching such dancers, I personally have no interest in dancing… πŸ™‚
