Haunting Christmas Songs for this Winter Solstice which coincides with The Ursid Meteor Shower…

Silent Night

That was Sinead O’Connor with a beautiful version of Silent Night. There are lots of popular Christmas Songs. I thought I would share a few that I like.

Oh Holy Night

“Oh Holy Night” is one of my favourite Christmas songs and I think Carrie Underwood does a lovely version of it.

Carol of The Bells

Carol of The Bells is a classic and I like this John Williams version.

Music from The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is the perfect Musical Theatre / Ballet production to watch in the run up to Christmas. And Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is a beautiful classical piece by Tchaikovsky. This is a remixed version by Tristan on The Track. (GingerBread Man Christmas Beat.)

Happy Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice, the Darkest time of the year and the longest night approaches which also coincides with The Ursid Meteor Shower this year. After the Winter Solstice the days gradually start to lengthen as the sun returns.

Holy Night

For me intuitively Winter Solstice feels like the most sacred time of the whole year. The Silent Night, The Holy Night. It seems to herald the beginning of a special time of year where people look inwards to be alone with their thoughts or spend time with people they are close to.
